A class is a service several people book places in: a 6pm bootcamp for 12, a Saturday yoga flow, a group lesson. Under Your shop, What you sell, Classes, press Add a class and set the places per session. Its length, price (per place), deposit, colour and any forms work as for a service. Under People, tick who teaches it.
Under Your shop, What you sell, Classes, add it to the timetable: the class, the teacher, where, the day and time, every week or every N days, when it starts and if you like when it ends. The sessions go in your diary for the next 12 weeks and are topped up every night. A day the teacher is not free (another class, an appointment, time off) is skipped and you are told which. For a one-off session, draw on the diary and choose Class.
In the diary a session is one block in the teacher's column with how full it is, 7 of 12. It takes the teacher's time, so nothing else can be booked over it. Open it to see everyone in it: mark them attended or a no-show, cancel one person's place, take payment at the desk, message them or open their profile, and Mark everyone attended at the end. Add someone adds a customer by email (an existing customer is found, never made twice) and spends their class pass if they hold one; when the session is full, Add anyway makes room for one more. Change the class moves everyone booked to a new day, time or teacher and emails them; Cancel the whole class emails everyone, gives back passes and vouchers, and lists who paid so you can refund them in Stripe.
On your booking page, a Book a place in a class card opens the classes view: a day strip and each day's sessions with the time, class, teacher, price and places left. Customers book one place at a time, with Booking for someone else? for a child or a friend, and pay as they would for an appointment: nothing, a deposit or in full, with the same discount codes, gift vouchers and forms, and the same minimum notice. A full session offers the waiting list: when a place frees up, the first person waiting is emailed a link good for two hours, and the first to book it has it. Confirmations, reminders and texts say the class's name and who the place is for. A customer cancels their place from their confirmation inside your cancellation window; to change session they cancel and book another.
A class pass is a package: under Your shop, Sell more, Packages, make a package for the class or for Any class, and each place booked comes off it. A package for a single service is never spent on a class, nor a class pass on a one-to-one. Takings, invoices, visit records and the customer's history treat a place like any booking. In the FullDiary app a session is a block in the diary with a class screen behind it; adding or changing a timetable is on the website.
