FullDiary vs Treatwell
The simpler alternative to Treatwell.
FullDiary is your own booking page and live diary - no marketplace, no finder's fee, and prices printed on the page. Here is the honest comparison with Treatwell's own published terms, checked 16 September 2026.
Free for 20 bookings a month. No card, no contract, no commission.

The numbers, side by side
Both columns told straight.
Treatwell's pricing page publishes its commission - 35% of a new marketplace client's first booking, 0% on repeats - but not its monthly fee: both plans say 'Start for free' and no monthly number is printed. FullDiary's entire price list fits in this table.
| FullDiary | Treatwell | |
|---|---|---|
| Monthly software fee | Printed here: free tier, or Pro at 9.99 GBP a month a person, never more than 39.99 GBP | Not published - both plans say 'Start for free' and the monthly number is not printed on the page |
| Free tier | 20 bookings a month, for as long as you like - reminders, messages and forms included | Both plans 'Start for free'; the monthly fee that follows is not printed |
| Commission on new marketplace clients | No marketplace, so no such fee exists - nothing to track | 35% of a new client's first booking ('subject to location'), then 0% on their repeat bookings |
| Commission on your own bookings | None, ever | None on direct bookings |
| Online prepayments | Deposits and pay-in-full through your own Stripe account: Stripe's standard rates, FullDiary adds nothing on top | A 2.5% plus VAT processing fee on prepaid bookings |
| Staff members | 1 on Free; your whole team on Pro, each with their own login, never more than 39.99 GBP a month | Freelancer is for one; Advanced adds team members - at the monthly fee their page does not publish |
| Automatic reminders | Yes - email on every plan, the day before and the morning of, and text reminders as well on Pro: 50 a month for each person, and more from 4p a text. Clients move their own booking from the confirmation | Yes |
| Bringing your client list | Import a CSV yourself on the Customers page - free, on every plan, with the column mapping shown | Their FAQ says 'only the basic data and technical notes' come across, through their customer service team |
| A marketplace between you and your clients | No - your booking page is yours alone, and nobody lists a rival salon next to it | Yes - your venue sits in the Treatwell marketplace, and a new client's first booking there carries the 35% fee |
| Works alongside your other software | Yes - it is a booking page and a diary; keep whatever else you use | By design, no - their FAQ says Treatwell does not sync with other management systems, 'as your exclusive partner' |
| Invoices and quotes too | Included in Pro: AI invoices and quotes, QuoteChaser follow-ups | Not part of Treatwell |

The FullDiary column
Where FullDiary is better.
FullDiary is deliberately simpler: the booking page, the live diary, deposits, reminders, messages and forms, done properly - with every price it charges printed where you can read it.
Prices printed on the page
Free for 20 bookings a month, or Pro at 9.99 a person and never more than 39.99 - here, on the pricing page, and nowhere behind a sales call. You should not need a catch-up slot to learn what software costs.
No commission, no finder's fee
A client's first visit costs you the same as their fiftieth: nothing. There is no marketplace between you and your clients, so there is no percentage of anything, ever.
Your own Stripe, our zero
Deposits and payments land in your Stripe account directly. FullDiary never holds your money, adds 0% on top of Stripe's standard rates, and takes no cut of any booking.
A diary, not an exclusive partner
FullDiary is a booking page and a live diary, not a platform that asks to be your only system. Your website, your accountant's tools, your invoices and quotes - everything keeps working around it, and your client list comes in as a CSV in minutes.
Every claim above is the same enforced product the main FullDiary page sells, or the full matrix on the pricing page.
The real thing
The screen your shop lives on.
Every picture on this page is a capture of the working product, taken from a shop running on FullDiary. This one is a recording.
Someone running late? Drag their booking to another column or time and drop it. The diary updates and the customer gets the new time by email. (A real screen recording.)
- Drag a booking to a new time - the emails follow it
- Draw across an empty space to book a walk-in
- Done, no-show or cancelled, marked as you go
- One tap makes it full screen for the tablet by the till
What comes with it
Everything in the FullDiary column.
The table prices the product. This is the product: every line below is live today, on the plans the pricing page says.
- A booking page in your coloursLogo, colour, photo, page style and font, with each person's photo and services. One link for the bio and the QR card.
- The live diaryEvery person a column, walk-ins drawn in, drag to move with the customer emailed, one tap to full screen for the screen by the till.
- Deposits into your own StripeA deposit or the full price as they book, on every plan. The slot is confirmed when it is paid and the money lands with you.
- Reminders on every planEmail the day before and the morning of, and texts as well on Pro. Customers move or cancel their own booking from the confirmation.
- Messages, both waysPress Message on any booking. They see it on their booking page and reply into your inbox. Every plan.
- Forms before the visitPatch test, consent, intake, pet details and more, asked on the booking page with a typed-name agreement. On the profile with a PDF.
- Visit records in your trade's fieldsColour formula, clipper grade, mileage, pain score: filled in from the diary card and there next time. Share with the customer if you choose.
- Two services, one visit, and a waiting listA cut and a beard in one booking. When a day is full, customers join the list and a cancellation offers them the slot.
- Packages and regulars on repeatSell a block of sessions paid up front on Pro. A regular's slot repeats itself weekly, fortnightly or every few weeks on every plan.
- Travel charges for mobile workGo to your customers? On Pro, your own price per mile goes on each booking, from the real driving distance, before they book.
- A login for everyone, with a ceilingEach person gets their own login and sees the day on their own phone. Pro is 9.99 GBP a month a person and never more than 39.99 GBP, so from the fourth person on, a new junior does not raise the bill.
- They come backA rebook reminder when the next visit is due and a review ask with your Google link, one email each.
- Bookings become invoicesOne click on the diary card turns a finished booking into a draft invoice. Quotes on the same login.
- The numbers, without a spreadsheetMoney in the book for the next 30 days, takings, busiest hours and what no-shows cost, live on the overview.
- The phone app, in the stores soonFullDiary for iPhone and Android: the diary, messages, customers, invoices and reports in your pocket, with a push the moment a booking lands.

FAQs
The switching questions, answered straight
What it costs, what happens to your clients, and how the switch works - said plainly, so the table above holds up.
Something else on your mind? Ask a human.
Is FullDiary affiliated with Treatwell?
No. FullDiary is made by Cynical Software Ltd, an independent UK company, and this page is not endorsed by Treatwell. The Treatwell terms quoted were read from their public UK partners pricing page on 16 September 2026; terms change, so check treatwell.co.uk/partners/pricing before deciding anything.
What does Treatwell actually cost a month?
Their pricing page does not say: both plans are labelled 'Start for free' and no monthly number is printed, so the figure comes from their sales team. What the page does publish is the commission - 35% of a new marketplace client's first booking, 0% on repeats - and a 2.5% plus VAT fee on online prepayments. FullDiary's prices are printed here: free tier, or Pro at 9.99 a person, never more than 39.99.
Does FullDiary have a marketplace like Treatwell's?
No. A new client's first booking through the Treatwell marketplace carries their 35% fee. FullDiary is your own booking page for the clients you already reach - Google, Instagram, the QR card, word of mouth - and no booking of any kind carries a fee.
Can I import my client list?
Yes. Export your clients as a CSV and import it on the Customers page: the column mapping is shown so you can correct it, and any skipped row is reported with its line number. Nobody retypes 800 clients, and the import is free on every plan.
Do patch tests and consent forms come with it?
Yes. Pick the patch test, consent or intake template under Your shop, Forms, attach it to the treatments that need it, and it is asked on the booking page before the visit with a typed-name agreement. Every answer sits on the client's profile with a PDF, on every plan.
What happens to the money when a client pays a deposit?
It lands in your own Stripe account - FullDiary never holds it. Stripe's standard processing rates apply and go to Stripe; FullDiary adds nothing on top and takes no commission on bookings, ever.
Is it really free to start?
Yes: 20 bookings a month free, with the booking page, the live diary, the QR card, reminders, messages and forms included. No card to start, nothing expires, and Pro is 9.99 GBP a month a person, never more than 39.99 GBP, when you outgrow it.
